As a sequel to The Day Grandpa Was Born", this fictional story takes place five years after the Christmas that Grandpa was "born over." Grandpa continues to share his faith with everyone who will listen, although convincing his wife Ethel of her need for a Savior was quite a different story. It seems that Ethel had an "amazing umbrella" called self-reliance that seemed to work quite well, thank you. Her philosophy was that of "God helps those who help themselves." It wasn't until she found a big hole in that "umbrella" that she came to realize what her true condition was.
